Grown Grins

Most children will have lost all of their baby teeth and have all of their permanent teeth, except for wisdom teeth, by around age 12. While they may be nearing high school age, adolescents may still require assistance and guidance on their oral care from parents. At varying ages, teenagers will be ready to transition into adult dental care with a general dentist. Unless your teenager has significant adult dental needs more appropriately provided by a general dentist, we will still happily see your teenager in our practice. Dr. Jessie works closely with orthodontists to provide coordinated care for your teenagers, one of the more common concerns outside of treating decay for many teenagers. We also understand that adolescents may still have dental anxieties or other unique concerns and wish to remain in a familiar environment. Dr. Jessie will work with each family individually to develop a transition plan that will provide the optimal dental care for each child.
